HOSPITAL APPOINTMENT QUERY - PATIENT INFORMATION POINT
PATIENT INFORMATION POINT- TELEPHONE NUMBER FOR QUERIES RELATING TO HOSPITAL APPOINTMENTS: 01293 300270.
The Patient Information Point is a service run by the Referral Support Service in Sussex. It is designed to provide patients with an easy to access central point for queries relating to outpatient referrals within hospitals. If you have any questions relating to appointments, from how long the waiting times are likely to be, to whether you can change hospital for a sooner appointment, these can be directed to the Referral Support Service and Patient Information Point teams and they will endeavour to either answer the question directly or investigate further and provide support to patients on their referral pathways. LOCAL SUPPORT FOR PEOPLE BEING ABUSED

DOMESTIC ABUSE COMMUNITY ACTION NETWORK | This small group of women have experienced domestic abuse and want services to know how to best help when people are experiencing abuse: young people to know how to avoid getting into abusive relationships through the groups experiences and an end to domestic abuse. The group meets regularly at various friendly, informal venues across West Sussex for a couple of hours every 6 weeks or so. People say they feel very well supported in this group and find the peer support invaluable. To find out more, contact us if you would like to come along to one of our meetings. If there are any barriers to you attending, such as lack of childcare or transport or simply fear, we will work with you to find a solution. THE SATURN CENTRE (SARC) | The Saturn Centre SARC (sexual assault referral centre) is based at Crawley Hospital and provides a range of services to women and men who have been raped or sexually assaulted. It is open for pan-Sussex referrals 24/7. There is a crisis worker present to support the victim at each referral and a forensic medical examiner on hand to collect the forensic evidence swiftly and effectively. SARC will link you into and provide ongoing support all the way through the criminal justice system and beyond. You will also be linked into the free counselling available when appropriate. The Saturn Centre also takes self-referrals between 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday. This means that anyone who has been raped or sexually assaulted can get assistance and support without going to the police. VICTIM SUPPORT | Victim Support is the independent national charity for all victims and witnesses across England and Wales. It provides free confidential support and information to help victims and witnesses overcome the effects of crime. Ann our Care Co-ordinator at Cowfold Surgery is here to help our GPs support those patients who want to live at home and need help accessing support in the community. To help carers and get them the help they need and deserve.
We will be running regular clinics to give you the chance to discuss on a one to one basis or as a couple or family group your worries and concerns and help you get the support you need.
