Nurses
| In recent years, the role of nurses in general practice has expanded, and the illnesses and conditions that they can deal with has increased. Our Practice Nurses undertake consultations for all immunisations including childhood, travel, flu and tetanus; cervical screening; family planning/health promotion, smoking cessation and education; removal of stitches, dressings; blood tests, ECGs (electrocardiograms); blood pressure tests; ear syringing; elderly health and new patient checks. They also carry out follow-up reviews for asthma, spirometry, high blood pressure, epilepsy, diabetes and coronary heart disease. If you are unsure whether you need to see a nurse or doctor, ask a receptionist who will make an appropriate appointment for you. |

Healthcare Assistants
| The Health Care Assistants run clinics at both Cowfold and Partridge Green Surgeries. They perform routine blood tests & INRs, blood pressure checks, 24 hour ABPM, ECG’s, smoking cessation advice, spirometry, removal of stitches, ear irrigation & B12 & shingles injections, and a variety of other nursing services. | Ann is also our Carer/Care Co-Ordinator Lead (f) Ann’s aim is to ensure you feel supported and have access to the services that are right for you. Ann can help with referring carers to specialist support to help them look after their loved ones. Telephoning patients after discharge from hospital to ensure patients have everything they need. Providing information on local services and supporting patients when dealing with multiple agencies. Ann works Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday |

Practice Management
| Anna Harrison (f) Our Practice Manager, Anna Harrison, manages all operational aspects of the practice. She may be able to assist with any administrative or non-medical aspects of the practice and welcomes suggestions for improvements. Her office is based at Cowfold Surgery but she makes sure there is a desk available for her at Partridge Green as well! Due to the comprehensive remit managers cover, including meetings away from the practice, please make an appointment before attending to ensure timely availability for your convenience. Anna’s working days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. |

Pharmacists
| Kejal (f) As we are part of a Primary Care Network, we have a pharmacist supporting our practice. Kejal is at the surgery on Wednesdays. This role within general practice is to provide clinical medicine leadership both in running pharmacist practice clinics and supporting general practice staff. |
Community Nurses
| The District Nurses provide nursing treatment and advice to our housebound patients and those recently discharged from hospital. They may be contacted on 01293 228311. This is provided by One Call. |
Health Visitors
| Cowfold Medical Group are part of Horsham South Healthy Child Programme (HCP) who provide services from pregnancy to age 19. The HCP team can support children, young people and families with a variety of issues including: Feeding and nutrition Behaviour and sleep management Parenting issues Maternal mental health Emotional health Child protection issues The HCP team consist of Specialist Community Public Health Nurses (nurses/midwives with an additional degree level qualification in public health and often referred to as health visitors and school nurses), registered nurses, nursery nurses, school health assistants and administrative support.
